The Master Builders Association of Pierce County (MBAPC) is proud to welcome our 2026 Board of Directors and elected leadership team. This year marks an exciting chapter for our association as we continue to advocate for the building industry, support our members, and strengthen the future of housing and construction throughout Pierce County.
We are honored to serve under the leadership of 2026 President Tony Laer of Laer Enterprises, whose vision centers on expanding safety education, strengthening workforce development, and elevating the association’s digital presence to better serve today’s builders and construction professionals.

Leadership Focus for 2026: Safety, Education, and Industry Growth
As safety continues to be a top priority across the residential construction industry, President Laer has made construction safety education a cornerstone of MBAPC’s 2026 agenda. In collaboration with statewide partners and industry resources, the association is working to expand training opportunities that are more accessible and relevant for:
- Subcontractors
- Small construction businesses
- Emerging trades professionals and apprentices
By removing barriers to education and emphasizing real-world jobsite safety, MBAPC is reinforcing its long-standing mission: supporting our members while building stronger, safer communities across Pierce County.
In parallel, the association will continue investing in digital growth and online engagement, ensuring members can easily access resources, events, and advocacy updates in an increasingly connected industry.
