City of Puyallup Hiring New Director of Development and Permitting Services

The City of Puyallup recently announced a reorganization of their Development and Permitting Services division to streamline the permitting process. The engineering department is being divided, with engineering review staff moving to the Permitting Department and capital improvement project engineering staff moving to the Public Works Department. With this transition, Tom Utterback, the current Director of Planning and Development Services, has decided to retire. His last day will be June 19. The City of Puyallup is now actively looking for a new Director of this department. An individual with private sector experience would be a good fit as the City looks at streamlining permitting as well as building a stronger culture of customer service and helpfulness.
