New class available: Determining Low Impact Development (LID) Feasibility and Improving Your Site Layout

Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) is working with Kitsap County, Herrera Environmental Consultants and the Washington Stormwater Center on a grant-funded class for builders, developers, remodelers and those who work the sites (excavation, site prep, roads, etc). The grant is funded by WA State Department of Ecology.
This free* informative workshop is an interactive course that examines certain fundamental strategies and techniques. These techniques are used to assess soils and other site characteristics to effectively and efficiently plan and develop a site layout using LID principles and practices.
Those who complete the two-part course will earn a certification. The second class (part 2) dates have not been announced yet, but will be held at in February and March 2019.

Part 2 = Protecting Your BMP’s: Ensuring Low Impact Development (LID) Best Management Practices (BMPs) are Not Impacted by Construction Activities
