Help Build Fences for Homeless Veterans

Quixote Communities is a local nonprofit that is building 35 permanent tiny homes for homeless veterans living in Pierce County. They are currently in construction at the Soldiers Home campus in Orting and are hoping to open soon! A requirement from the city has them looking for material donations to build two large fences around the homes. Members of JBLM have volunteered to build the fences but fencing materials are still needed.

There are also opportunities in upcoming months to paint the homes, build the fences, and some light maintenance and landscaping. You can also make a donation to help furnish a home for vet. Everyone is welcome to come help and be part of the community! If you are able to support them with material donations for the fences or want to help in any way, please contact Quixote Communities Executive Director Jaycie Osterberg by email or (360) 791-8999.
