As the “MBA Meals for Medical Workers” comes to an end, we want to express our appreciation to the members who have donated to make this effort successful. Our goal was to give back to our local community by providing meals for our brave healthcare workers during the global pandemic of COVID-19. While a lot of our lives were put on hold, our local medical professionals continued to fight on the front lines to keep us safe. We chose to support our local hospital in Tacoma: Multicare Tacoma General Hospital.
We are proud to announce that with the collective donations of $2,820 from Master Builders Association of Pierce County members, we were able to provide 250 free meals for medical workers since we started our efforts mid-April.
We’ve received deep gratitude from the staff, doctors and nurses at Multicare Tacoma General Hospital.
“I’m a nurse at the COVID unit and just want to say thank you for the breakfast yesterday. I’m in awe of the support. Breakfast was amazing and a pleasant surprise.”
To make this possible we partnered with our amazing catering members. This allowed us to support both healthcare professionals and our catering members during this difficult and challenging time. Each catering company was able to deliver meals on multiple occasions.
Huge thank you to our catering members:
