Shoreline Code Updates
The Pierce County Development Center is anticipating a possible rush of applications in consideration of the Shoreline Management Plan update.
The County Council adopted the final Shoreline Master Plan on October 2, 2018 and will be sending it to the County Executive for signature. Prior to the new regulations taking effect, the Department of Ecology reviews the Plan and, if acceptable, issues a Final Action.
The new regulations will go into effect 14 days after Ecology issues the Final Action. It is anticipated Ecology will issue the Final Action soon, but the exact date is not known.
A final reminder will be sent when the effective date is known.
