The 2018 Master Builders Association of Pierce County celebrated its 21st Annual Remodeling Excellence Awards on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Tin Can Alley. Each year, local contractors submit their projects from throughout Pierce County to showcase their incredible craftsmanship, creativity and skill. Entries were judged by independent remodeling professionals who chose winners based on the following six criteria:
- Aesthetics: Is the project visually appealing?
- Special or unique design solutions: Does the project reflect optimal space planning and visibility?
- Quality Workmanship: Does the project exhibit special crafting or exceptional features?
- Use of appropriate building material: Does the project complement existing structure and design?
- Budgetary Consideration: How did the remodeler overcome unique challenges in completing the project?
- Challenges and Obstacles: Did the remodeler overcome unique challenges in completing the project?
To celebrate the craftsmanship of our many members, the awards ceremony included a pre-dinner showcase where attendees could review the entries and submit their ballot for the “People’s Choice Award” won by American Dream Design Build. The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) held the EIR Awards on June 20th during the Summer board meeting in Pasco, Washington. These awards truly highlight the best of the best in the building industry, and we are proud to see our members succeed on the state-wide level.
