Master Builders Pierce County Scholarships Now Open

Master Builders Pierce County encourages young professionals to consider and pursue a career in the home building industry. We hope Master Builders scholarships motivate and inspire students to further their education in this field.

Applicant must be a Pierce County resident, at least a graduating high school senior, applying to an accredited vocational school, two-year community, four-year college or university. Applicants must be pursuing a degree by taking multiple courses in a field of study that enhances their education and benefits the building trades. Such fields may include association management, government affairs, architecture, engineering, business or interior design, plumbing, painting, remodeling, building or other housing-related studies. Recipients are invited to give a short speech at the Master Builders Pierce County President’s Gala each December.

Scholarship Deadline: Applications are due May 20, 2022.

Applicants should receive confirmation when their submission has been received. For Master Builders Pierce County scholarships, do not forget to attach at least two letters of recommendation and school transcripts. BIAW Scholarship and Grant Applications

The Building Industry Association of Washington (BIAW) is the state association for the  Master Builders Association of Pierce County. When a company joins the Master Builders Association of Pierce County, they are automatically members of BIAW. BIAW’s annualy scholarship and grant program is now open.

Since its inception, BIAW has awarded over $670,000 in scholarships and grants. They provide scholarships to students who have demonstrated a passion and commitment to developing a career in the home building industry. They also offer grants to organizations with programs in construction-related fields of study, residential construction career training, continuing education, apprenticeship, and skills assessment services, and technical training programs educating tomorrow’s home builders.

The deadline to submit a scholarship or grant application is Monday, May 2, 2022.
