Update to Puget Sound Energy Disconnect/Reconnect Pricing for Residential Requests

Effective May 6th, 2019, Puget Sound Energy will be changing the pricing for customer requested Residential Disconnect/Reconnect work. This includes requests for a meter pull to de-energize service to the electrical panel, clipping the service conductor at the weather head or source, and dropping the service wire for work other than tree trimming.

This price increase is being done to more closely align with current business costs. For over 20 years, PSE has charged $37.00 during core business hours and $74.00 outside of core business hours.

The change will not affect projects that were already in place prior to May 6th, 2019 and previously quoted costs are valid for 90 days from the date of the quote. Work completed after 90 days is subject to the new pricing effective May 6th, 2019.

Below are examples of current and new Disconnect/Reconnect costs that will be applied beginning May 6th, 2019:

The pricing above is only to include requests for disconnects and reconnects of existing wire. New wire, lengthening existing wire, shortening, or re-routing the service from one point of connection to another, will follow applicable Schedule 85 pricing guidelines.

Note: Services or meters that are disconnected or reconnected by Non-PSE personnel will be considered meter tampering and may be subject to additional charges.
